We have a meeting coming up May 23rd. Email is if you’d like to join! tucsonartistsprotest@gmail.com
For our exhibitions, we accept entries from established artists and people who would not consider themselves to be artists. We ask artists to address a social issue or idea. Our first three exhibitions have not been juried, had entry fees or commissions. Artists who wish to sell items negotiate with the buyer.

We hope to inspire people to answer this for themselves. Perhaps we can discuss at the next meeting.
“Political art does not necessarily require slogans. It doesn’t always scream—sometimes it just whispers. It can be overt or subtle, explicit or coded. What defines political art is intention and impact: Political Art critiques power, exposes injustice, or imagines alternatives to the status quo.” – Artist Cornelia Es Said
